Peter told Christians that, when we decide to follow Jesus, we should expect to suffer in the flesh, even as Jesus determined to suffer for us when He went to the cross. Besides suffering when we resist our own fleshly desires, we could also suffer from false accusations and even outright physical attacks. Fortunately, God promised to never leave nor forsake us! Please open your Bible to First Peter chapter four, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his study of verses one through five.
