Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Paul lived a life of passion. His one and only passion was to serve Christ and bring Him glory. Paul was a man who could say in the midst of dealing with difficult circumstances and difficult people that nothing moved him; nothing could dissuade him from his course, his determination to preach the Gospel of God’s grace.
Our study this morning brings us to a place where Paul writes about the many ways that he proved himself to be a true servant of Jesus Christ. If you or I were to write our personal 2 Corinthians 6, what would we write down as the ways that are proving ourselves to be true servant of Jesus Christ?
May the holy fire of God fall upon us today as on the Day of Pentecost with a renewed desire to say as a congregation and as individuals that “for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
