Psalms 31:24 “Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.”
Good morning, dear ones! None of us know what this day will bring forth, but this much we do know: we can rejoice because our names are written in The Lamb’s Book of Life! Blessed be the love and grace of God Who has redeemed us by the perfect sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ.
Our passage of Scripture from Psalms tells us that for those who hope is in The Lord, we can be of good courage and He will strengthen our hearts. Isn’t that beautiful? The Hebrew word that is translated hope here means “to wait for.” To wait for The Lord is the same as placing your hope and trust in The Lord. So as you go about your day today, pray about everything and for everything. Understand that hoping in The Lord is not sitting in a rocking chair, doing nothing. It is literally waiting on Him, as a waiter or waitress waits on your table. It is being engaged in doing God’s will in whatever is placed in front of you today. As we wait on The Lord, our hearts are strengthened and filled with a holy courage that is rooted in the grace of God and His unconditional love for us.
Thus today, Psalms 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 29.11 “Know this, The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.” Psalms 146:5 “Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God.”
Hope in God today, beloved.
Amen, Pastor Ray! I once heard Chuck Swindoll say ” When you are up to your ears in alligators it’s too late to say you forgot to drain the swamp.” We have to know and meditate on the Word BEFORE the difficult decisions and trials confront us.
Great quote saint Jeannie! Have a blessed day in Jesus sister.
