Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
The yoke of Jesus destroys every yoke of bondage. Isaiah wrote that the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). Jesus is The Holy and Anointed One, Whose yoke destroys yokes of bondage and sets people free. Dwell on that yoke-breaking power of Jesus this morning, beloved. I am talking about the yoke- destroying power of The Risen Christ. Thoughts of a Jesus of yesteryear or days gone by are void of power or help. Hear Jesus speaking to you those words, “Take My yoke upon you” (Matthew 11:29) this morning, dear ones.
One of the most powerful forms of bondage is man-made, man-centered religion. Paul wrote to, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1) Those who have been redeemed by Christ have experienced the anointing that has freed us from empty traditions. Oh dear ones, reject those forms of godliness that have no power to save or deliver man from sin, afflictions and addictions. Jehovah told the nation of Israel, “I [am] the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.” (Leviticus 26:13)
How much more have we, through the blood of Christ, been delivered from yokes of religion, sin and bondage. All glory to His yoke-destroying Name!
