Esther 4.14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
If Esther refused to help, the Lord would preserve His people but judge her. Mordecai encouraged Esther to see her rise to the position of queen as God’s providence, positioning her to be His instrument to save His people. Why is it that when we read such accounts of God’s providence, we tend to only see that limited to the lives of people in the Scriptures?
Today’s devotional is short and sweet. At least I hope you find it to be so. Think about this. Like Esther, as a child of God, God has positioned you at such a time as this to live where you live and work where you work. He has placed you in the family that you are in. The marital status that you are in. The vocation that you are in. Why? To be an instrument of deliverance to others. To be His voice of encouragement or reproof. To be His ambassador for the lost soul, floating around aimlessly and with no purpose.
You are divinely positioned by God to accomplish His purposes. And if you should so choose to ignore that fact, God plan will be accomplished, but you will miss the blessing and joy of seeing it come to pass. Let Jesus work in you and through you today beloved. Kiss The Son says the Psalmist. Don’t kick against the glass of providence.
