Christmas time is a message that primarily focuses on the birth of Christ, and His first coming. But, we can never forget that the birth of Christ and His Second Coming are inseparable doctrines of Scripture that are equal components of the gospel message. This morning, we want to focus on the future worship and adoration of The Lord in glory. When we read about The Lord’s exalted position in glory, it is intended to inspire us to lift our hearts and praises to Him. The redeemed of The Lord are gathered around the throne, worshipping and magnifying God The Father and The Lamb. The scene is breathtaking! Multitudes proclaiming, blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Oh, that we might join that heavenly choir who are also declaring, salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. Christmas is, and always has been a salvation message. A time to reflect on both the first and second coming of Christ. As we know all too well, our days on this earth are few, and full of troubles. We are living in a world that has been stricken and smitten with the courage and consequences of sin. But by the grace of God, and the blood of The Lamb, Jesus Christ, we have overcome this world. But in glory, God will finally wipe away all of our tears once and for all. Until then, it is that future aspect of the Hope of the gospel that is to inspire us to trust in The Lord with all of our hearts, and worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Remember, Emmanuel, Jesus Christ is God with us both now and forever, Amen.
