Luke 16:27-28 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
The rich man in hell is living proof that there is a fervency in hell for souls to be rescued from that horrible place. Hell is no joke. Hell is not some mythical place. Hell and its torments are real and last forever. This man who pleaded for people to go and testify to his brothers lived a life of wealth and abundance while on earth. Now he is pleading for those on earth to come to the knowledge of the truth of God. Oh God, give to both writer and reader of this blog that fervency for souls to come to the truth of the gospel! Isn’t that the great commission? Isn’t that why our feet are to be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace?
This rich man now has the right perspective and understanding of what we were created for. We were created to know our Creator and live for Him and His glory. Praise God for His great love for sinners. Praise God for His Son Jesus and the gospel that bears His Name. Do not let the false glamour and glitter of this fallen world and its soon to be moth-eaten riches bait you into the Devil’s trap of lies and deception. Redeem the time that God gives you. Be an answer to the “prayers” of those in hell. Share the gospel and the hope of life by grace, through faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Selah
