Ephesians 4.30- 32 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Harboring grudges, unforgivness, bitterness or resentment in your heart towards someone is like drinking poison and thinking that another person will die. Only the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ can set us free from these Spirit-quenching, relationship-breaking, emotionally destructive sins. If we think that someone has hurt us more than our sins have hurt Jesus Christ, we have yet to understand the depth of God’s grace, the vastness of His forgiveness, or the beauty and majesty of His gospel. Selah.
