Church leaders are like shepherds. As such, they are to watch over and protect their congregations from those that would do them harm. Feeding them sound doctrine is an important component of that protection. Sadly, many leaders within today’s churches are hirelings that invest more energy in fleecing their sheep than feeding or protecting them! Please open your Bible to First Peter chapter five, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola continues his discussion of verses one through four.
