God’s sovereign purposes and grace, not people’s works or character, are the basis for all of His elections. For example, God chose Jacob over his twin brother Esau to be the recipient of the patriarchal blessing before they were even born. Every action of God arises out of His eternal purpose and plan. Yet, to be saved, we must still accept God’s free gift of salvation to make our calling and election sure. Please open your Bible to Romans chapter nine, verse nine, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola conpletes his study of verses one through sixteen.
