Judges 5:9 My heart [is] toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.
The Lord’s heart is towards those who willingly offer themselves unto Him. God does not force or coerce people to serve Him. He is not in need of any “help” to accomplish His purposes. Beloved, are you prepared to be used by The Lord today? His eyes are looking for those whose hearts are united with His. To have a willing heart means that you accept His Word as your “terms of service.” It means that you drink the cup of providence with the full assurance that your times are in His hands.
King David expressed his willingness towards God thusly: “I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.” (1 Chronicles 29:17) The Scriptures identify the virtuous woman as a woman who works willingly with her hands (Proverbs 31:13). Being a servant of The Lord is not a matter of ability, but of availability.
Yes, Lord, I am Yours today. You make me willing in the day of Your power. I consecrate myself to You today.
