Can you imagine being a missionary evangelist in the first century? There was no internet, no automobiles, and no airplanes. Letters had to be hand carried by people that you knew and trusted. Paul established a church in Corinth, and after he left Corinth to start other churches, problems arose in his absence. Historians say that Paul wrote four letters to the church at Corinth to address those issues, but only the second and fourth letters were preserved for our edification.
