Today’s passage says that Jesus was made perfect when He became the Author of salvation. This does not suggest that Jesus had not been perfect before. It means that He successfully carried out God’s plan of salvation. He perfectly endured suffering and temptation so that He could truly function as our High Priest, interceding for us before God. Please open your Bible to Hebrews chapter five, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola completes his discussion of verses six through ten.
