Manasseh, who was born during during the worst years of the reign of his father Hezekiah, was the longest-reigning king of Judah. He was one of Judah’s most evil kings. Longevity is not necessarily a sign of God’s approval, but it is a sign of God’s patience, for Manasseh did eventually repent at the end of his life.
