Today we will encounter a new character named Elihu. He was younger than Job’s other three friends, and he held his peace until they had finished speaking. His name means He is my God or God the LORD. Therefore, some see him as a type of Christ, our Mediator. Others see him merely as a conceited young upstart! Please open your Bible to Job chapter thirty-two, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his discussion of Elihu’s lengthy discourse, which begins with a rebuke of Job’s three friends.
