As Chrstians, we have been born again by God’s mercy and through His grace. Since we have freely received His mercy, and by definition we do not deserve it, we should freely extend mercy to others, though they do not deserve it either. His indwelling Holy Spirit makes this possible, because such behavior is natural for God, but unnatural for mankind.
