Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Here is the answer for anyone that may be asking God the question, “What do you require of me today?” In the midst of any and every vocation and levels of responsibility, God requires us to be just, to show mercy, and live humbly with Him.

Read those words of sacred writ again this morning. Meditate on the truth of those words. Let them sink down deepen into the very depths your being. May they give birth to the prayer, “Lord, give me the power and desire to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You today. In all of my responsibilities today, I will act honorably. In all of my dealings with others today I will show mercy. When my thoughts or flesh cries out to get even or give way to pride or arrogance, I will walk humbly with You, Lord.”

Those who please God are those who do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. This is how the bride of Christ carries out the great commission and displays our devotion to our Husband and Redeemer Jesus to a lost and dying world.
