• Philippians 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
  • Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.
  • 2 Corinthians 1.23 Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.

How wonderful it must have been for Paul to be able to say that God was a witness to life. He called God as a witness to his prayer life. He called God as a witness as a witness of his love for his brothers and sisters in Christ. He called God as a witness for his motive of not going to visit the troubled Corinthians. Could I call God to witness as Paul did? Could you, my friends?

I have good news for you this morning, beloved. There is no reason why we should not be able to make such an appeal to the witness of God. Consider that it was only because of the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus that Paul was able to call God as witness in his life. The same holds true for us in our lives as well this morning beloved.

It is only because of undeserved grace of God through Jesus Christ that we are accepted in His presence. It is only because of the undeserved grace of God through Jesus Christ that we are complete. It is only because of the undeserved grace of Jesus Christ that have boldness and access to The Father. Meditate on those truths, beloved. We too can call God to witness when pray, and reach out in love towards others because our righteous standing before Him is in and through His Son, Jesus Christ.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Hallelujah!
