What is greater than faith, or even hope? The love of God. It is the love of God that transforms us from the inside out. In fact, faith itself finds its expression through love.

This love of God is a powerful incentive to serve the Lord. You see, we can speak in tongues, understand the deep things of God, have faith to move mountains, give to the poor, and even sacrifice our lives, but if we don’t do those things out of a love for Jesus, there is no profit for us from them.

Oh how I long for this love of Jesus to overflow in our church family! This love that is compassionate. This love that lays down its life for brothers and sisters in Jesus. This love that covers a multitude of sins.

For us, to love means to be like Jesus. As the Spirit of God speaks to our hearts today, He speaks the truth in love in order that we might in love walk in the truth. As we sow the love of God into the lives of others, we are sure to reap the blessing of the presence of God in our midst.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
