Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

God is Self sufficient. He has no need for the help of mortal man to exist or operate. The Lord our God is the God of all things. It is The Lord our God Who creates, sustains and upholds all things. One of the “all things” that God upholds and sustains is your life, beloved. I was thinking of the oft repeated phrase “all things” this morning. I pray that these “all things” verses will be a source of comfort, grace and hope for you today.

Revelation 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” You are one of the “all things” that were fearfully and wonderfully created and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Your were redeemed for His pleasure.

1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” As you read God’s Word, you have the promise that The Holy Spirit Who dwells in you will teach you “all things” about how to abide in Jesus and bear fruit for His glory.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” We are living in trying times. Many of God’s people are struggling economically. Jesus here promises us that when He is first in our life, He will provide our daily “all things” of food and clothing.

Mark 10:27 “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Perhaps you are facing an impossible situation this morning. To some degree, the vast majority of things that happen in our lives is out of our control. But with God, all things are possible.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.” Here is one of the most loved “all things” promises. Embrace it beloved. God has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Amen and Amen.
