2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The very glory of God is revealed in The Lord Jesus Christ. The writer to the Hebrews declares that Jesus Christ is “the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.” If you want to know what The Almighty God is like, study the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to His apostle, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.” (John 14:9) Jesus Christ was an incarnation of every attribute of God. His love was glorious. His mercy was glorious. His beauty was glorious. His praying was glorious. Every miracle was a display of His glory.

The real Christmas message is that God The Son became man and dwelt amongst us. The purpose of His incarnation was to “save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21) Jesus’ mission on earth was a mission of redemption. “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10-11) To bow the knee to Jesus and confess Him as Lord brings glory to God. “For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to Whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
