The Christian life is a blessed life. It’s the blessedness of knowing that my sins are forgiven (Romans 4:6-8). It’s the blessedness of walking in fellowship with Jesus and the Father every day (1 John 1:3,4) in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). We are blessed to experience the mercy and comfort of God during times of trial and pain (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We live each day with the blessed hope of our precious Lord Jesus’ return (Titus 2:13).

This blessed life is all due to the grace of God. It is not always an easy life (John 16:33), but it can still be a happy one because we know that our God uses even the evil things that happen to us for our good and for His glory (Genesis 50:20). It’s a confident life (Philippians 1:6), not because of our abilities, but because of His promises (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; 2 Peter 1:3-4).

A life that trusts in Christ is indeed a blessed life (Psalm 34:8). It’s truly a happy time to gather together to worship our King (Psalm 84:4), and it’s blessed to walk in the light of His countenance (Psalm 89:15). The life that fears God and walks in His ways is really a blessed one (Psalm 112:1).

The blessed person is the one who can say, “For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
