Not only are we called to believe in Jesus, but we are also called to suffer for Him as well. Scripture calls this experience “partaking of Christ’s suffering.”

The Christian life is not a bed of roses. Because we live in a world that hates God’s truth, as followers of Jesus, we will at times suffer blessed persecution and shame. Paul was told about this suffering for Jesus the day he was saved, and we follow his example.

We never suffer alone; we have our brothers and sisters in Jesus and Jesus Himself by our side. Jesus paved the pathway of suffering for us, saints. Whether we suffer affliction or wrongfully for our faith, in light of the ‘big picture’, it is a momentary discomfort that actually works eternal character within us.

May we have a Biblical perspective of sufferings when our precious faith is put on trial by either the enemy of our souls or our flesh.
