God has called us “out of darkness and into His marvelous light”. The day-to-day display of this ‘translation’ is a life that reflects Christ-like thinking and living.

As we grow in Jesus from newborn to maturity, we shine amidst a lost and crooked world. This witness for Jesus necessitates divine power plus the yielding of our bodily members to the will of God.

We are not “that Light”; it is Jesus, working in us and then through us “both to will and do of His good pleasure.”

What ‘dulls’ that shine is a divided heart, and a fondness for the things of the world. Getting weary? Feeling worn out? Look to Jesus. Don’t glance, but stare into His eyes and heart.

May His love and mercy ignite you to see Him who is invisible with a response of love that is not of this world.

Arise, shine, saints, for “the glory of the Lord is risen upon you”!
