Zebah and Zalmunna, two Midianite kings, fled to the east side of the Jordan River with fifteen thousand troops after the initial encounter with Gideon’s three hundred men. Gideon’s weary army pursued them and captured them in a sneak attack. Rather than simply putting them to death in the name of the LORD, Gideon sought to humiliate them. His carnal nature had overcome Gideon’s submission to God. Please open your Bible to Judges chapter eight, verse ten, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola discusses Gideon’s dealings with the two remaining Midianite kings.
