Jonah was a reluctant and rebellious prophet. However, after a great sea creature swallowed him, he became remorseful and repententant, but not right away. It was not until the third day that he cried out to God. Jonah experienced God’s mercy and forgiveness when he turned to Him with a broken and contrite heart. If you are running away from God, confess and repent of your sin. God will forgive you.
