Malachi, whose name means “My Messenger,” was the last prophet of Jehovah to plead with His people before the ensuing four hundred years of silence that preceded the birth of Jesus. Lackluster zeal for the things of God characterized the post-exilic Jews. Instead of giving the Lord their best, they offered Him their leftovers, if they gave anything at all. Please open your Bible to Malachi chapter one, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola begins his message entitled “How NOT to serve the Lord.”
