As a Judge, Samson was supposed to have united Israel against their Philistine oppressors. Unfortunately, Samson usually acted alone, and his actions against the Philistines were almost always acts of revenge. Vengeance is a horrible master, and believers should not take revenge into their own hands. Scripture tells us that vengeance belongs to the LORD. Please open your Bible to Judges chapter fifteen, and listen as Pastor Ray Viola tells about more of Samson’s exploits against the Philistines.
