Rehoboam made his subjects wait for three days for his answer to their request for tax relief. He asked his elder advisors first, but he apparently decided to reject their advice before he even heard it. He then asked his younger, less-wise counsellors, for their advice, because He knew that they would tell him what he wanted to hear. Don’t be a pseudo-counseling junkie! Seek counsel from someone that will make you thirst for God’s will and not your own.
